GUIDELINES TO THE VOLUNTEERS

HRDC is the only tertiary referral centre for pediatric orthopedic in the country, with an international credibility. It is a privilege for any volunteers to have an opportunity to volunteer in this centre. The experience of different aspects of medical and rehabilitation management of children with musculo-skeletal disabilities is unsurpassed by any such experience gained any where in the world.
Following are the guidelines a volunteer must fulfill before completion of his/her tenure

All volunteers are expected to present in the ward before 9:00AM during rounds on Monday/Thursday/Friday.
All volunteers are expected to be decently dressed and groomed, preferable with a white coat.
All volunteers are expected to participate actively in the any question in doubt related to patient and his/her management.
All volunteers are expected to be present in the assigned department during stipulated period of time.
Tuesdays and Wednesday, they are expected to get engaged with children writing stories.
At the end of the completion of volunteering it is compulsory to submit a report along with stories of at least five children in a printed and banded form.
It is not expected to see gambling, drinking alcohol, smoking, relaxing, sleeping etc inside the Hospital premises.
Operations Theatre is restricted area where we do not usually allow volunteers to enter inside. If any volunteer shows especial interest in a particular case, he/she may be allowed after permission from a medical team.
Any photography inside the Hospital premise is allowed only after permission from and authorized person.
It is not permissible to publish Hospital photographs without permission from the Hospital authority.

All the volunteers will be awarded a certificate of appreciation at the completion of his/her tenure
